Brooks & Dunn Contest Press Release

Debbie Kozari & Tammy Kozari joined together recently with The Penticton Herald, Giant FM and the BC SPCA to prove that Community Counts! Kozari & Peters have been long time supporters of various local charitable groups and local minor sports teams, and enjoy knowing they are contributing to the community. They recently decided to take their charitable donations up a notch. As luxury suite holders in the new South Okanagan Event Centre, Kozari & Peters are pleased to donate some of their seats at events to lend a helping hand in our community.

Over the last two weeks, a promotion has been running in The Penticton Herald and Giant FM for a chance to win 4 tickets to join Kozari & Peters in their suite for the upcoming sold out, Brooks & Dunn concert on October 16th. With completed entry forms, hopeful winners were asked to make a donation of cash, animal treats or household items like towels and blankets to the BC SPCA. The winners of the contest are Lorne Steffen and Marilyn Peterson. The real winners were the local animals in our community. Through this promotion, over $1,000 in cash and goods were donated to the BC SPCA.

Tracy Westmoreland, Manager of the Penticton branch of the BC SPCA, expressed her sincere thanks to Kozari, Peters and all of those that made a donation. “This promotion brought great awareness to the BC SPCA South Okanagan Similkameen. On behalf of the animals, we appreciate the generous donations of goods and money. Your support does make a difference and allows us to provide care for so many animals in our communities. Thank you!”

For more information, please contact Debbie Kozari & Tammy Kozari at the Royal LePage Locations West Realty office at 250.493.2244. To make a donation to the BC SPCA, visit them at 2200 Dartmouth Drive in Penticton.

When our clients make a donation of time, money, services or goods to their charity of choice they have a chance to enter and win 2 tickets to the SOLD OUT concert of Brooks & Dunn. If they make a donation of money, they just need to let us know how much and they get to enter the draw to win. If they donated time, they just need to let us know how many hours. If they donated goods, they need to indicate the value of the goods.

We want to work with our clients and be creative to see how many ways we can make a difference in our community.

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY YOUTH BASEBALL

We recently sponsored the SOMBA Tigers Midget AAA and Bantam AA Baseball Team.

By donating our suite and 8 tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters, the players were able to use this to sell tickets for a raffle draw. The team raised $1,780.00 to help with travel and equipment expenses.

Article from The SOMBA Tigers Website:

“Congratulations to our Raffle Ticket winners, Mike Braid and his son, Kieran, who won 8 tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters in a luxury suite at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Ryo Shishido, Ethan Brown and Kyle Peters are presenting the tickets to our winners. Debbie Kozari & Tammy Kozari (also in the picture), generously donated their suite for the raffle. Thank you, Tammy and Debbie, for donating this prize. Tammy and Debbie are one of our major sponsors, so please take a second and visit our Sponsors tab, which has all of their contact information. Thanks to everyone who supported the Tigers by purchasing tickets for this fun and very entertaining event! All proceeds collected from the sale of these raffle tickets will go toward the purchase of players’ equipment, tournament fees, uniforms, travel, etc., etc. etc.!!!”

Letter of appreciation from the winners:

“We all had a great time on Friday night. The kids really enjoyed the Globetrotters and felt quite special watching it from the box. What a great view of the court. My wife and daughter were able to see much of the second half after Alison’s piano was over.

Thank you both for donating the box as a raffle prize, and thanks, Tammy, for showing me around on Thursday. Maybe I should be buying some lottery tickets now in case my luck continues.”

Thanks again,
Mike and family
